Frederick Police Respond To Stabbing; Suspect Arrested

FREDERICK, MD – On today’s date, October 17, 2019, at approximately 9:45 am, The Frederick Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing that had just occurred in the 1500 block of Rosemont Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with being stabbed.  The victim was transported by Maryland State Police helicopter to a local area trauma center and is currently in serious but stable condition. 

The suspect, Morris E. Dotson, age 46, of Frederick Maryland was located a short time later in the woods behind the location of the incident.   Dotson has been charged with the following:

  • 1st Degree Assault
  • 2nd Degree Assault
  • Reckless Endangerment
