Officers Make Arrests for Assault 

FREDERICK, MD - On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at approximately 7:35 pm, Frederick Police Officers responded to the area of West All Saints Street and South Market Street for a report of an assault. 

The victim stated she was walking her dogs in the area and was approached by Roy Davidson, age 67, of Dickerson, MD who asked if he could pet her dogs.  She declined and Mr. Davidson pet the dogs anyway.  One of the dogs bit Mr. Davidson, who then pulled out a pocket knife and chased the victim threatening to do harm to her and the dogs.  The victim was able to run to a secure area where she called the police. 

Officers in the area were able to quickly locate the suspect and Officer Hannah Clinton conducted a show up with the victim who provided a positive identification.  Roy Davidson was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with multiple offenses.

Charges: Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, False Statement to Law Enforcement Officer, and Disorderly Conduct.
