Now online, the public has its first chance to see draft amendments to the Frederick Town Historic District Design Guidelines. Feb. 15, the Historic Preservation Commission will have a workshop to consider the amendments.
Draft amendments to the Frederick Town Historic District Design Guidelines are available online and will be the subject of upcoming public meetings. Hard copies of the amendments will soon be available for review in the Planning Department and at City Hall.
The Historic Preservation Commission will have its special workshop at 6 p.m. Feb. 15, in the Municipal Office Annex, 140 W. Patrick St. The public is invited to attend and provide comments. This will be the first of several public meetings on these amendments.
The guidelines apply to rehabilitation and new construction design for designated sites, structures, and districts that are generally consistent with those recognized by the Maryland Historical Trust. The City's Historic Preservation Commission uses the guidelines adopted by the Board of Aldermen in reviewing applications.
